He threatens to drag her by his Humvee and rape her in his new song, Vegas.
But
Iggy Azalea nevertheless had the grace to mention Eminem when she swept
up gongs for both Favourite Rap/Hip-Hop Artist and Favourite
Rap/Hip-Hop Album at the American Music Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday
night.
Beating
off competition from the Eight Mile rapper and Drake to take out the
awards, Iggy said: 'It just means so much that I can stand here against
Eminem and Drake and come out with this, it's amazing,' as she accepted
the title for Favourite Album.

Winner! Iggy Azalea got emotional as
she accepted the awards for Favourite Rap/Hip-Hop Album and Artist at
the AMAs on Sunday night
He was also nominated: The Australian
rapper mentioned Eminem in her speech, despite the Eight Mile singer
threatening to rape her in the lyrics to his new song
The
Australian-born hitmaker got emotional during her speech and with a
quiver in her voice continued: 'It means so much to me that it is for
Best Hip Hop because that's what inspired me to move to America and
pursue my dreams.
'It's what helped me when I was a teenager to escape and get through my life and to better times.'
The blonde also thanked T.I., who appeared on stage with her, for 'believing in me' as well as her faithful fans.
Assimilated: The Australian-born star spoke with a very strong American accent
'The first award I have ever won in
my entire life': The 24-year-old mistook the award for her first ever
despite previously picking up 15 gongs
Close to her heart: Iggy said hip-hop has helped her get through the tough times in her life
Despite
winning a string accolades at the MTV Video Music Awards, Europe Music
Awards, Billboard Mid-Year Awards and Teen Choice Awards, Iggy didn't
appear to recall the honours when she stepped on stage.
Revealing
a very strong American accent, the 15-time award winner bizarrely
announced: 'This award is the first award I have ever won in my entire
life.'
Just
days ago, Iggy responded to Eminem's violent and misogynistic lyrics on
Twitter, writing on Thursday: 'I'm bored of the old men threatening
young women as entertainment trend and much more interested in the young
women getting $ trend. zzzz.
'It's
especially awkward because my 14-year-old brother is the biggest Eminem
fan and now the artist he admired says he wants to rape me. nice!'
Motivating factor: It was also the inspiration behind her move to the US
Acclaimed: Iggy was nominated for a
total of six awards on the night and beat off competition from Eminem
and Drake to pick up her gong
Covering her curves: Iggy came over all demure in a black pants suit and button-up top
Flawless: The blonde flaunted a flawless beauty look with a flick of her signature dark eye liner
Despite
speculation Iggy would shock in a racy outfit for her and Jennifer
Lopez' performance of Booty, the beauty covered up her famous curves
when she accepted her award.
Coming
over all demure in a very androgynous look, the singer stepped out in a
black trouser suit complete with a conservative blouse buttoned up to
her neck.
She swept her long blonde locks into a high pony tail with a severe side part and styled the lengths into tight curls.
Completing
her outfit with a pair of towering gold stilettos, she sported a
flawless beauty look with a flick of her signature black eye liner.
Skin-tight: Iggy changed into a leotard and leggings to perform a mash up of her hits Fancy and Beg For It
Adopted American: Her American accent carried through to her performance
Popular talent: The beauty was nominated for a total six awards on the night
What
was more surprising than Iggy's conservative get-up however, was her
strong American accent that was carried through to her performance
minutes later.
Returning to the stage, she performed a mash up of her hits Fancy and Beg For It accompanied by Charli XCX.
Dressed in a leather jacket and matching pair of wide leg trousers, she belt out the lyrics to her debut track.
In a quick costume change, she swapped to her latest track and a skintight leotard worn over leggings.
The
Black Widow hitmaker was without her basketballer beau Nick Young on
the night, despite the LA Laker's player getting a fresh haircut -
seemingly in preparation for the event - earlier that day.
'#LetMeGetThatSwaggy,' he wrote alongside a photo he posted of his new do.
What a way to finish: Igg and Jennifer Lopez closed the show with a performance of their hit Booty
Racy: The act didn't include 'rubbing' despite reports it has been banned
Tone it down: The duo were reportedly given guidelines to ensure their performance of Booty isn't too racy
Shimmering: Both ladies slipped into sparkly leotards for the dance
Iggy
also took to social media ahead of her appearance, writing: 'So excited
for my first performance at the #AMAs thanks for all the nominations
guys!!!' on Twitter.
The curvaceous blonde closed the show with her and Jennifer Lopez' hit Booty.
Finishing
the night off with a bang, the racy performance featured no shortage of
provocative moves and skimpy booty-bearing leotard.
The
show's host network ABC reportedly set a number of ground rules for
what is acceptable when the ladies take to the stage, reported TMZ.
It included 'no rubbing' on each other or exposed 'cracks'. 'Spanking' however, was permissible.
The
rules didn't appear to have had any affect on the dancing duo and they
pressed their backsides together on a number of occasions throughout the
set.
Iggy
denied the duo have been asked to make any changes to their act last
week, and wrote on Twitter: 'I'm not sure if the "executives" are
"worried" about me and jlos performance. lol. i haven't even been to a
rehearsal for it yet so…. 0.0
'We
haven't been asked to make any changes and there are no plans to expose
anyone's nipples or vaginas… but.. okay tmz if you say sooooo
'With that being said, we aren't performing in turtleneck sweaters either…. hahahahaha ;-)'
Iggy
was just one of the Australians representing the land from Down Under
as boyband 5 Seconds Of Summer were also in attendance and won New
Artist Of The Year.
The
booty shaking beauty was nominated for a total of six categories on the
night including Artist Of The Year, where she faced stiff competition
from the likes of Beyonce, Katy Perry and Lorde and eventually lost out
to One Direction.
The
Australian-born star was also nominated for New Artist Of The Year,
Single Of The Year for her hit Fancy and Favourite Female Artist in the
Pop/Rock category, with the latter two being scooped up by Katy Perry.
All leather: Iggy suited up to perform Fancy
Androgynous look: She wore a crisp white shirt buttoned up to the collar and a black tie before stripping down to her leotard
