During
her stint on the latest series of I'm A Celebrity... Get me Out Of
Here!, Nadia Forde has captured attention not only for her stunning
looks but also her flirtation with Jake Quickenden.
And
while her best pal, Debbie O'Leary, is hopeful that the 25-year-old
Irish beauty will find her one true love, she also believes that if
former X Factor contender Jake wants to be in the running, he his work
cut out for him.
Speaking
of the pair's flirty exchanges, Debbie told MailOnline exclusively:
'It’s amusing to watch, but I don’t know if there’s going to be a love
story out of it.

Fight for this love: Nadia Forde's
best pal, Debbie O'Leary, has revealed that Jake Quickenden has his work
cut out for him if he hopes to romance the Irish beauty on I'm A
Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!
Hunk: Former X Factor contestant Jake Quickenden has been seen flirting with Nadia in the jungle
'Nadia
is a hard girl to woo, so Jake will have to work very hard if he was
serious. Who knows? It’s hard to tell when you’re in the jungle. You’re
in a confined space with a small number of people – but it’s been very
interesting to watch.'
Debbie,
who has travelled to Australia to represent Nadia's family, believes
that the brunette's focus on launching her singing career is one of her
main reasons behind keeping men at arm's length.
'I
think everybody would like to find somebody at some point – but she’s
very focused on her career and she doesn’t let just any man sweep her
off her feet,' said Debbie, engaged to Irish and Bath rugby player Peter
Stringer.
'She wouldn’t be a big dater, so it would have to be someone special – but I’m sure she’d fall for him if he was worthy.'
'[Jake] seems to be a gentleman. And he’s winning them lots of meals, which is great. I guess we’ll have to see.
'He’s very good looking. Is he her type? I don’t think she has a type. I’m sure he’s most girls’ types.'
As
for the possibility of seeing her pal lock lips with the hunk - who has
also been seen flirting with campmate Kendra Wilkinson - Debbie is
decidedly doubtful, explaining: 'I'm not there, but I don't think so. I
can’t imagine there being any jungle romance.
'Nadia
has such a big heart. She’s such a loving person and she wears her
heart on her sleeve. It’s not that she’s been broken hearted a lot in
the past, she’s just aware that she doesn’t want to be broken hearted
now. Especially when she’s working so hard on her career.'
'I
would love to see Nadia happy in love again – but she’s very happy on
her own. She doesn’t need a man to make her happy; she does that by
herself. But when the time is right, I’d love to see her settle down.'
The look of love? Jake and Nadia appeared to have connected quite early on in the current run of the show
Flirtatious pair: The photogenic stars' connection has sparked the new Twitter hashtag 'Jadia'
Love shy? Despite their apparent chemistry, the pair have yet to be seen locking lips on the show
And
once Nadia is fresh out of the jungle, she'll be releasing a new album
in January - and has even been dubbed the 'Irish Cheryl Cole' by The X
Factor's Louis Walsh.
'I
think she’ll give Cheryl Cole a run for her money,' assured Debbie, who
added: 'Nadia has an amazing voice. She’s such a good singer.
'I
think she’s got the whole package in terms of being a music star. She’s
gorgeous, she’s got an amazing figure and she’s got the voice. I’ve
heard a few songs and it’s amazing.'
BFF: Nadia's pal, Debbie O'Leary, has travelled to Australia to represent Nadia family on the show
Inseparable: The stunners met on a flight to Dubai four years ago and have been inseparable ever since
But
while she enjoys her new wave of popularity and anticipated music
success, Nadia is quietly dealing with the heartbreak of learning that
her estranged mother, with whom she was only reunited in the summer, is
terminally ill with lymphoma cancer.
'I
know that when her mum was quite sick recently that Nadia went to be by
her bedside, which was very nice. And I do know that her mother is
rooting for her, which is lovely to see,' said Debbie.
'Nadia’s
mother is still quite sick. It was very bleak there for a moment, but
she’s fighting and she’s doing quite well, which is good.'
Career boost: After rising to popularity on I'm A Celebrity, Nadia will be releasing a new album in January
Chart-topping rival? Nadia has been branded the 'Irish Cheryl Cole' by The X Factor's Louis Walsh
Nadia remains very close to her grandmother Bernie, who raised her after her father walked out when she was eight years old.
'I’ve
been speaking with her Nana and her brother Stephen a lot over here,'
said Debbie.' 'They are so proud of her and they think she’s doing such a
great job.
'We
forget that she’s only 25, so it is a big experience. Every time I
speak to them, they say, “Can you tell her we love her and that we miss
her and that we’re watching every show.”'
Hands on: While Jake has flirted with Nadia, he has also done much of the same with Kendra Wilkinson
Single lady? She is reportedly estranged from her husband Hank Baskett, with whom she has two children
Let's hug it out: The pair' have enjoyed a considerable amount of screen time together
And
while Nadia continues to steam up the screen with her figure-baring
outfits from a specially selected wardrobe that also includes a green
bikini - in honour of her Irish roots - Debbie believes there's one
thing that she's like to see her pal do.
'Nadia is going to kill me for saying this, but I’d love to see her do a trial,' she admitted. 'I’d love to see how she’d react.
'She
went in there thinking she was scared of everything, but she’s been
very brave. I think she’d prove herself wrong if she did a trial. I
think she’d do really well.'
Bride-to-be: Blonde beauty Debbie is engaged is Irish and Bath rugby player Peter Stringer
Secret heartbreak: Nadia was recently reunited with her mother, who is battling terminal cancer
Family support: She remains close with her grandmother Bernie, who raised her once her parents left
