She
is currently working on tracks for her eighth album but Rihanna made
time in her busy schedule to have dinner with a mystery man during the
week.
The
26-year-old singer was spotted at Nobu in New York on Friday where she
dined with a tall and handsome man before the duo left together.
Rihanna
was all wrapped up against the chilly New York weather in a large
sheepskin jacket, leggings and heavy tan boots and she wore a backwards
baseball cap over her long, curly hair.

Her date also wore a baseball cap, along with a bright yellow jacket, black jeans and similar boots to the singer.
However,
the mystery man has not been distracting Rihanna from her work and on
Wednesday she was spotted heading to a recording studio in Soho.
Posting
on Instagram shortly afterwards, Rihanna posted a catchy teaser from
one of her new tracks in a short video titled: 'P***kin roun in da
studio.'
She later told fans to watch out for more information, tweeting: 'Any news about R8 will be delivered directly from me.'
And
last week in New York, Rihanna made it a family affair when she took
her beloved grandfather, Lionel Braithwaite, to meet her mentor Jay Z.
While
Rihanna is keeping tight-lipped about the record, her We Found Love
collaborator Calvin Harris recently admitted some material he sent to
her hasn't made it onto the finished album.
Watch out: Rihanna is currently working on her eighth studio album and has already released a teaser on Instagram for fans
Family first: The 26-year-old singer
brought her beloved grandfather Lionel Braithwaite to a meeting with Jay
Z at Roc Nation record label
He
said: 'No I'm not on the Rihanna album. I did a few things for it but
they don't get back to you. There are a lot of people involved!
'She
listens to everything - I know that - but she's got a strong idea and
identity and an idea of what her album should sound like.'
However,
the 30-year-old DJ - who, along with Rihanna, is signed to Jay Z's Roc
Nation record label - insists he's not bothered about being snubbed from
her latest LP.
He said: 'It's not like they put me on We Found Love because I'm signed to Roc, they did it because it's a f**king good song.
'But it's OK because I'm working on my stuff and it's going fine so I'm not concerned about it.'
On
top of preparing her upcoming album, the singer has also been promoting
an upcoming children's film she provided a voice-over for.
The
trailer for DreamWorks' animated movie titled Home includes Rihanna as
Tip and The Big Bang Theory's Jim Parsons as Oh, a purple-headed alien,
who has been cast off by his kind.
Together
the unlikely duo have to embark on the road trip of a lifetime together
as it appears they are being chased along the way.
Jennifer Lopez and Steve Martin also teamed up for the movie, which is slated for release in March 2015.
