As
was seen on Sunday in Abu Dhabi, Nicole Scherzinger takes a vested
interested in Lewis Hamilton's work, shedding tears as she watched him
win the Grand Prix.
But
the Formula One champ looks like he may have some work to do when it
comes to returning the favour, after he failed to recognise one of her
songs during a radio interview on Thursday.
Fresh
from his historic win in the United Arab Emirates, Lewis made an
appearance on the BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show with Nick Grimshaw, where
he was tasked with guessing the artists behind tracks after hearing just
a snippet of each.

Backtrack:
Lewis Hamilton, left, made an appearance on BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show
with Nick Grimshaw on Thursday morning, and failed to identify a track
by his girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger, right
'I'm pretty bad with names,' he warned before the challenge kicked off.
However,
the only song he failed to name was one that his very own girlfriend of
seven years had recorded - Scream, with top producer Timbaland.
He
was able to immediately identify Timbaland, but - before hearing the
vocals - guessed that it was a track performed by Justin Timberlake.
Catching a glimpse: As he made his way into the central London studios, he greeted scores of fans
Cool under pressure: Despite the sun not yet rising, the Formula One champ donned a pair of sunglasses
Strike a pose: The star also took time out to pose for selfies with a number of his excited fans
On the spot: Lewis failed to recognise Nicole's track Scream, when host Nick Grimshaw, left, played it to him
Host Nick laughed as he responded: 'This is someone called Nicole Scherzinger. Have you heard of her?'
On learning the vital titbit of information, an audibly panicked Lewis exclaimed: 'Oh my god! Which one was that?'
He then told the host: 'I can’t believe you did that to me. I’m going to get it when I get home.'
Back home: The couple returned to London on Monday, after Lewis' Grand Prix win in Abu Dhabi

Stylish superstar!
Celebration! The pair were in high spirits as they celebrated Lewis' historic win
Seemingly on a mission to do some major damage control, he said: 'The worst thing is that was a great song.'
He also fished out another excuse, telling an amused Nick: 'We weren’t together when she did that song.'
Sticking
with the subject of music, the British sportsman also spoke about
meeting Dr. Dre, Jay Z and Beyoncé in a studio - and watching as Jay Z
selected the track listing for his album.
In demand: As fans crowded Lewis, a burly bodyguard kept a close watch on all of the action
Thumbs up: The jovial sportsman also stopped to sign autographs for his devoted fans
Pic me up: The star also spoke about his time in the studio with such stars as Jay Z and Beyoncé
'I wish I could've taken a picture because it was one of the best moments of my life,' said Lewis.
He
also revealed that he has a studio in his house, which he built so that
former Pussycat Doll Nicole wouldn't have to constantly jet back to Los
Angeles.
But
he's become such a fan of making music himself, that she barely gets
any time there as he's always occupying the soundproof space.
Busy lady: Nicole was recently photographed trying on an Oculus Rift headset
Enjoying the view: To be used by
British Airways, the virtual reality technology will bring to life some
of the most iconic US destinations for European customers
Modern conveniences: Lewis revealed
during his interview that he built Nicole a studio at his home, to save
her constantly flying to Los Angeles
Give and take: However, Lewis also admitted that she rarely gets into the studio because he's always in there
