She is known to have a penchant for women and has previously talked of a long-term relationship with a mother-of-two.
And now X Factor judge Mel B has defended her sexuality, telling The Guardian: 'I had a girlfriend. So what? I did have a four-year relationship with a woman.
'People call me lesbian, bisexual or heterosexual, but I know who's in my bed...' she said on Saturday.

'I had a girlfriend, so what?': Mel B,
pictured at London's Roundhouse in November, has opened up about her
four-year relationship with a woman
The
39-year-old - who says she is very 'happily married to a penis' - also
maintains she is not in an open relationship with husband Stephen
Belafonte, telling the British newspaper: 'No, me and my husband are
very tight and solid.'
She
does compliment members of the other sex in her husband of seven years'
company however, saying she's often the first of the pair to notice a
fine pair of legs.
The
opinionated brunette also opened up about her four-year romance with
Christa Parker, a mother with children who attended the same Los Angeles
school as her eldest daughter Phoenix, now 15.
Happily married: The former Spice
Girl, who refers to her husband Stephan Belafonte as 'a penis' is
adamant they are not in an open relationship
Ms
Parker had once claimed Mel was also seeing men at the same time, but
the women's liaisons were interrupted in May 2006 when the former Spice
Girl began her romance with actor Eddie Murphy, with whom she shares
daughter, Angel, seven.
In
February this year, the mother-of-three was seen kissing and hugging a
female friend while partying on a yacht with her husband in Sydney
harbour.
The
singer, who was on the coaching panel of The Voice Kids Australia at
the time, looked to be having a ball as she sipped champagne with her
friend as her husband looked on.
At
one point the former pop star leaned over and gave the woman a kiss on
the mouth while they were seen lying down in an embrace, their bodies
entangled.
'People call me lesbian, bisexual or
heterosexual': The 39-year-old has previously spoken of being in a
four-year romance with a mother and is pictured here cuddling up to a
female friend in Sydney in February
Confident: The mother-of-three, currently on the London X Factor judging panel, is called a lesbian, bisexual and heterosexual
Mel previously revealed to American shock jock Howard Stern that she has had a long-term relationship with Ms Parker.
When
asked whether she was in love with the mother-of-two at the time of
their romance, Mel answered, 'I would say so,' but said she ended the
relationship because 'women are crazy.'
She repeated to the Guardian what she told Stern in 2010 saying: 'I have a huge libido and a great sex life.'
Devoted mother: The singer says she is
on good terms with the fathers of her daughters, 15-year-old Phoenix
Chi (right), Angel, seven, (middle) and she also has a daughter with
Belafonte, three-year-old Madison (left)
Family snap: Mel poses with her daughters, from left to right, Angel, Madison and Phoenix Chi
She
also maintains she is on good terms with the fathers of her two eldest
daughters, although she hasn't seen much of former husband Jimmy Gulzar
in recent years.
Teenager Phoenix Chi is his daughter, while seven-year-old Angel is the child of funnyman Eddie.
Three-year-old Madison is the daughter of director husband, Belafonte.
Funnyman Murphy: Comedian Eddie, pictured in Beverly Hills Cop 3 with Judge Reinhold, is 'a good father' to their daughter Angel
The
singer reveals she enjoys family meals with Angel's famous father at
his New York home and describes him as 'a good father' and 'a legend.'
But her real and lasting love is her current husband who she describes as spontaneous, supportive and solid.
'So I married myself, basically,' she tells the Guardian.
The way it was: Mel, with ex husband
Jimmy Gulzar (centre) at the opening Marco Pierre White's Titanic
restaurant in London in 1998, haven't seen much of each other in recent
years, she says
