She was left to fight for her marriage when work commitments threatened to cause a split.
And
now Claudia Winkleman has revealed she repaired her relationship with
husband Kris Thykier by simply remembering to be nice to him and making
an effort to look after him more.
Speaking to Red magazine, ahead of her daughter Matilda's recent and shocking accident, she opened up about her personal life.

'All I know is that you can have a different marriage with the same man,' she explained.
'I
think it's also about growing older and being cosy. Working too hard
puts a strain on – but we're still working hard now,' she added, sharing
her views on how to make a marriage work.
'We
don't have rules, but we look after each other more. So whoever comes
home first normally makes the dinner. It's just about being nice to each
other.'
The
pretty brunette star appears on the cover of the magazine, as well as
in an editorial shot, in which she displays her fashion stylings in a
flowing lace dress, pale pink coat and red stiletto heels.

Her interview with Red took place before her daughter Matilda's Halloween accident.
Matilda was rushed to hospital, and although she is still receiving treatment, has recently been allowed home.
Claudia, who was absent from Strictly Come Dancing following the accident, returned to the show a fortnight ago.

The
little girl was out trick or treating with a group of children, with
her mothernearby, when her fancy-dress costume caught fire.
She has since said her daughter faces a 'long road to recovery'.
In
regards her marital problems, six years ago the star and Kris, a film
executive, found themselves struggling to juggle home life and work
commitments.
He
was working in Hollywood while the TV presenter was left to hold the
fort in London - the result was a mounting pressure which threatened to
end their marriage.'
The pair have three children: Jake, 11, Matilda, eight, Arthur three and live in Central London.
Family,
admits Miss Winkleman, means the world to her: 'Children were a slight
obsession of mine from quite early on,' and she is looking forward to
Christmas.
And,
although people are used to seeing her act as the host on the hit BBC
reality programme, she admitted that she's really a homebody, especially
when it comes to the holidays.
'I love Christmas more than life itself… My house. A million people round. We eat steak, drink red wine and open presents.
'People
have to sit on the floor because my table seats six…. I bake cookies
for the tree that all the kids write on. Our tree is singularly
disgusting; it's all home-made stuff so it's physically repellent. But a
big, real tree.'
She
went on: 'I love the Christmas build-up. I like the comedown, too. I
love Boxing Day. The food. The Lego. Kris and Jake will literally sit at
the table for four days making something and I'll just bring them
snacks in my pyjamas.'
