On
Sunday morning Sir Elton John and David Furnish were officially
married, exactly nine years after they entered into a civil partnership.
They
tied the knot in a romantic ceremony in front of family, friends,
numerous celebrities and of course, their sons Zachary, three and
Elijah, 23 months.
And
the couple are were so eager for the whole world to share in their
happiness they posted pictures to their Instagram pages throughout the
ceremony alongside the hashtag sharethelove.
Saying their vows: After making their
marriage official on Sunday morning, Elton John and David Furnish said
their vows in front of family and friends in the afternoon

Nothing
was kept back, with pictures beginning in the morning of the pair
making the union official as they signed their legal documents, right up
to the sweet moment they said their vows.
And
the couple's sons and ringbearers got in on the action, with Zachary
even taking a picture of Elijah during the ceremony, which was promptly
uploaded.
Elton
captioned the sweet snap, which showed Elijah clasping his dad's leg
and a stuffed toy, with the words: 'Zachary grabs David's iPhone and
takes a photo of his brother while we exchange our vows. #ShareTheLove.'
The
dapper duo were dressed in matching dark suits, as were their sons, and
Elton wore a pair of sunglasses as he and David said their vows.

They
entered a civil partnership on December 21, 2005 and on their nine-year
anniversary, Sir Elton John and David Furnish have officially wed.
Same sex marriages became legal in England in March and to celebrate, Elton and David planned a lavish bash.
The couple posted a sweet snap of them together after signing the official paperwork on Sunday morning.
Sir
Elton shared a photo of himself, pen in hand, sitting next to Furnish
at a desk, with a piece of paper in front of them, and wrote: "That's
the legal bit done. Now on to the ceremony!

The
dapper duo smiled for the camera in dark suits, in the first of what is
sure to be a selection of happy images from their wedding.
Elton's first post on Instagram was an invite to his wedding.

they brought 'good luck' when the couple used them at their civil
ceremony nine years ago. In the background guests include Burberry

Lavish lunch: The relatively simple
table settings included handwritten place settings, silver cutlery and
menus wrapped in red ribbo. Elton wrote: 'And the tables are set for a
delicious lunch'

Furnish had earlier hinted to The Las Vegas Review Journal that the couple might be planning a May wedding - same sex marriages became legal in March in England.
Back
in 2005, Elton, 67, and David, 52, were among Britain's first same-sex
couples to tie the knot when civil partnerships were granted.

The
couple are said to have invited 50 of their friends and family -
including the likes of David and Victoria Beckham, Elizabeth Hurley and
Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne.
A
pal told the newspaper: 'Elton and David have been planning this for
months. Elton is flamboyant but, for once, this will be decidedly
low-key affair.
'Only close friends and family are invited - it's going to be a small, intimate do.'
A spokesperson for Sir Elton John declined to comment to MailOnline when asked for further information.
The
couple - who have been together for 21 years - are reportedly planning
for their two sons, Zachary, three, and Elijah, 23 months, to be
ring-bearers during the ceremony.
The source added: 'It's important to David and Elton the boys play a special part.'
It
is said that guests at the ceremony - which will be decidedly smaller
than the 650-guest celebration they threw in 2005 - will be treated to
festive-themed canapés and mulled wine.

The
couple initially exchanged vows at the Windsor Guildhall, the same venue
where the Prince of Wales and Camilla Parker Bowles married in April
2005.
Shortly
after laws were changed to allow same-sex marriages in Britain, veteran
singer Elton announced plans to wed his Canadian partner David.
