There's no disputing Al Pacino's incredible movie credits.
But not many people knew that he had such a strong musical talent until he appeared to conduct the Philadelphia Orchestra on Saturday night.
The legendary Godfather actor, 74, was a special guest performer at the 158th anniversary of the Academy of Music Concert and Ball and was due to give a reading, before distracting the musicians.

Pacino was invited to perform a reading from Shakespeare alongside orchestra director Yannick Nézet-Séguin, but looked more like he was leading the instrumentalists himself.
Stepping out on stage in a sharp black suit for the Richard III monologue, the actor couldn't resist his instinct to lead and gave a very animated performance as if to conduct the violinists in front.

In his signature style, the movie veteran wore a wrist-full of gothic studded bracelets and heavy black rings, his hair in a youthful spiked style and his infectious energy on show.
With his latest release The Humbling on the horizon, the star says he's looking to diversify his acting talents as opposed to giving them up altogether.
Speaking recently about his attitude to film-making, Pacino said: 'I do feel differently. I don't quite get up from this table the same way. I may want to but I don't.'

'Acting, especially if you've done it as long as I have, it becomes such a part of your nature you rarely ever think about quitting or anything like that.'
The actor, who's currently dating 33-year-old Argentinian actress Lucila Sola, says he's taking time to concentrate on his children.
'Life has so much variety that acting is just a part of it now. It used to be all of it. Now it's a part of it.'
He hinted that movies were just one form of where his career might take him now, having expressed an interest in a Netflix or Amazon series following Napoleon's final days on the Island of Saint
