It's a few months until Father's
Day in the US, but Rihanna still got to enjoy some quality time with her
dad after a busy few weeks.
The singer went for dinner with her father Ronald Fenty on Thursday night, at Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica, then headed to a Starbucks for a coffee fix.
And though Rihanna may not be a little girl anymore, she still held his hand as they left the restaurant.
Rihanna incorporated an element of interior design to her wardrobe, wearing a long baroque bomber jacket that looked inspired by the wallpaper and curtain pattern often used to decorate homes.
She added an Adam Selman beanie, grey dress and Air Jordan trainers to complete her laid back evening outfit.
Rihanna’s quirky ensemble comes on the same night she was celebrating the news that she would be honoured with the Fashion Icon Award at this year's CFDA ceremony.
‘We are proud to present Rihanna with the CFDA Fashion Icon Award for her impact on the industry as fashion’s most exciting ambassador in recent memory,’ CFDA CEO Steven Kolb said after in the announcement last week.
Lady Gaga, Iman, Kate Moss, and Nicole Kidman have all received the Fashion Icon Award over the years.
Rihanna shared a number of images on Instagram detailing her nomination, as well as a collage of a few of her past looks, with a few hashtags such as ‘I do this fashion s**t for fun’.
In the music video, the Bajan singer plays therapist to Slim Shady as he looks back at key moments of his life and career.
This helped jog Eminem’s memory of what’s gone on in his history of rap music and even gave him the chance to dust off a few souvenirs he’s kept over the years
Eminem and Rihanna are following in the footsteps of Kanye West and Jay Z by teaming up for an epic summer tour.
