The undefended petition by the 39-year-old All Saints singer was heard at the Principal Registry of the High Court in London, neither party attended.
It appeared as Appleton N M v Gallagher L J P second in a list of 12 undefended cases heard by Judge Anne Aitken.

She said the woman whom he committed adultery with 'now has a child' by him, and she found it 'intolerable' to live with him.
She said she had not lived with him since he admitted the adultery last July.
And in a statement acknowledging receipt of the divorce petition Liam, in his full name of Liam John Paul Gallagher replied 'yes' to the question of whether he admitted adultery.
He said he did not intend to defend her petition and also agreed to pay his wife's 'reasonable costs.'
Judge Aitken granted Nicole a decree nisi on the ground that the marriage had irretrievably broken down because of Liam's admitted adultery. Also that she now found it intolerable to live with him.
The couple married at the Old Marylebone Town Hall, Westminster in February 2008.

She also had to face reports that the Beady Eye frontman had fathered a child with a US journalist Liza Ghorbani.
Liza filed a £2million lawsuit for child support after she claimed to have given birth to his daughter, Gemma, in January, following an affair which is said to have begun when she interviewed him for the New York Times in 2010.
As the story broke, Liam went to Ibiza, where he was seen getting close to his assistant Debbie Gwyther, 31.

The pair later went public and he moved Debbie into his rented home, minutes from the £5million mansion in Hampstead, London, where Nicole still lives with their12-year-old son Gene.
Liam also has a 14-year-old son, Lennon, with ex-wife Patsy Kensit, and a 15-year-old daughter, Molly, with singer Lisa Moorish.
Meanwhile Nicole is currently planning a comeback with her band All Saints - who were together from 1993-2001.
The group – Shaznay Lewis, Melanie Blatt and her sister Natalie are currently supporting Backstreet Boys around the UK.
They will then join fellow 90s bands East 17 and Let Loose on Another Time Another Place tour, which is set kick off in Cardiff, Wales on 14 November.
