While most of us spend the last few hours of the year at a house party or an overcrowded club, it's a whole different story for members of the A-list.
And the turn of 2015 saw more stars than ever flock to some of the world's most exclusive resorts to end the year in style.
Here are the places where the rich and famous sang Auld Lang Syne at the stroke of midnight.
BARBADOS
When winter hits the UK, many of the British celebrities head for Barbados. And as usual, Simon Cowell has been holding court. The X Factor supremo has once again jetted to the Caribbean for New Year's Eve but this time he has a partner and baby in tow. Simon, 55, and Lauren Silverman, 37, have been spotted soaking up the sunshine on the beach with baby Eric, who was born on Valentine's Day.

But while he may have taken to fatherhood with no trouble this year, that doesn't mean Simon has given up parties for good. Indeed, the X Factor supremo brought a host of his famous pals along. Tulisa Contostavlos, Sarah-Jane Crawford, Simon's ex-girlfriend Sinitta and her boyfriend Jason Gale, Union J and Lizzie Cundy have all joined the Cowell clan at the luxury location for the post-Christmas period, meaning the star-studded group has all but taken over Sandy Lane, the high-end five star beach-front resort.
Simon's pal Sir Philip Green, as well as his daughter Chloe and wife Tina, are also staying in Barbados.
Indeed, the Topshop boss and his family are regular additions to the island every winter, choosing it year after year for a break.
Speaking previously about Simon and Philip's legendary parties, Sinitta has said: 'It's completely debauched. We all go to Sandy Lane as guests of Sir Philip and his family.
'It starts with all the men looking suave in suits, while all the ladies wear elegant dresses - but by the end of the night we all end up in the pool with our diamonds and champagne glasses and often not much else.'
Reality doesn't suck: Made In Chelsea star Stephanie Pratt also saw in the New Year in Barbados with boyfriend Josh Shepherd
It's not just Cowell's crew who have taken over the island as Stephanie Pratt and boyfriend Josh Shepherd have met up for a romantic reunion after spending Christmas apart. And Lady Victoria Hervey is also soaking up the sun on the picturesque island over the festive break, before she retires to Austria to take part in the second series of The Jump.
Hollywood action man Mark Wahlberg has also been flexing his muscles on the beach on the island alongside his stunning wife Rhea Durham and their four children.

And, of course, it wouldn't be the festive season in Barbados without Bajan beauty Rihanna. The superstar, who was born on the paradise island, returned to her homeland for the holidays where she eschewed a white Christmas for a sizzling, red hot one as she frolicked on the beach in a bikini.
However, it wasn't long before Rihanna hopped on a luxury yacht to travel the 600 km to St Barts to ring in the New Year with a host of other celebrities, including rap mogul P Diddy.
ST BARTS
And St Barts seems to be the place to be as a host of stars gathered to ring in the New Year.
Private villas are a preference on the tiny, exclusive island which has seen stars including Heidi Klum and her toyboy Vito Schnabel, Lana Del Rey and her Italian beau Francesco Carrozzini and Salma Hayek and her husband Francois-Henri Pinault.

St Barts is hugely popular over the festive season and at Maya's restaurant on New Year's Eve, waterfront tables can be worth billions thanks to the super-rich clientele.
One of the key attractions is the small size of the island and the difficulties in getting to it, meaning it has never been overrun by mass tourism. St Barts also boasts very high security, leaving celebrities free to feel so safe to wander out without their bodyguards.
Others stars who have flocked to the island to ring in 2015 include Russell Simmons, who has been spotted meditating on the golden sands, and Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich, the owner of Chelsea Football Club.

Although there are limited places to stay at the resort, celebrities are ensured a luxurious vacation at Eden Rock, owned by the family of Made In Chelsea star Spencer Matthews.
The socialite often uses the family hotel as a place to woo his latest lovers, as well as taking a break from the hectic London party scene.
He says: 'I am in a rather fortunate position that my parents own the Eden Rock hotel on the island and so it would be a great opportunity to catch up with them and be pampered in six-star luxury at the same time.'
And what can one expect from a stint at the Rock? Spencer reveals that the 'Rockstar villa' comes with no less than 'four ultra-luxe king bed suites, black tiled pool with outdoor Jacuzzi, terrace, kitchen, butlers, pool table and it’s own bar and even a recording studio'.
