After
earning a slew of prestigious awards for his portrayal of Stephen
Hawking in The Theory of Everything, Eddie Redmayne is now gearing for
his next role.
The
33-year-old star, who took home the Academy Award for Best Actor at the
Oscars on Sunday, is trying to lose two stone in order to play a
transgender artist for upcoming movie The Danish Girl, according to
latest reports.
‘He's on a strict diet and has been noticeably thinner,’ a source revealed to The Sun newspaper. ‘He kept it under wraps during his promotional duties and Oscar campaign.

‘Eddie is also working with a transgender group,’ the insider added. ‘He wants to embody the character.’
