They met several years ago, when he served her at the Sainsbury's delicatessen counter where he worked.
And
now X Factor finalist Ben Haenow, 29, and his girlfriend of
six-and-a-half years, Jessica Jones, are looking forward to a future of
marital bliss as they make plans to settle down together.
In this week's issue of OK! magazine,
the handsome singing hopeful - who faces off against Fleur East and
Andrea Faustini this weekend - reveals that he plans to pop the question
'soon'.

He
said of his plans to propose to Jessica: 'It’s something that’s going
to be organic rather than: "If I get to this stage in the competition,
I’m going to propose."'
'Without wanting to give too much away, I would like to do it soon,' added the Croydon native.
'I
just want it whenever,' admitted his pretty blonde belle, who told the
magazine that she developed a crush on Ben after seeing him at her local
supermarket.

'I’ve known Ben for many years,' she explained. 'I went away to dance college for a couple of years.
'When
I was 21, I popped back one day to see if he was still in Sainsbury’s
and then I just kept popping in. I used to get very excited about going
to Sainsbury’s.'
Before wedding bells ring, the couple plan to settle into a home together.
'Getting a place of our own is definitely on "to do" list,' Ben said.

couple's relationship recently faced scrutiny when photographs emerged
of Ben kissing fellow X Factor contestant Lola Saunders - but Jessica
merely laughed at the controversy.
'I thought it was funny,' she told OK!. 'I know how tactile Ben is and I know how supportive he is to other people.
'I did have a little giggle as I knew the truth. He’s a good boyfriend, I’m so lucky.'
Meanwhile,
Ben's brother Alex Haenow has told MailOnline that it's easy to see why
the couple have remained solid over the years.
'They’ve
got an amazing relationship. Really strong couple.' he said. 'They’re
both really good friends as well as being a couple which is obvious when
you see them together which I think really helps.
'They’ve
just got that kind of relationship vibe and people are always surprised
when they tell them they’ve been together for over six years. They’re
very much in love with each other and Jess is very much part of the
family.'
The
remaining three X Factor finalists will battle it out for this year's
crown over the weekend, with one contestant leaving on Saturday, a day
ahead of the anticipated grand finale.
