As Michelle Keegan and Mark Wright
count down to their 2015 wedding, the actress has revealed in a new
interview that she knew very early on in their relationship that her
fiancé was 'the one'
'Although,
ask me a month before and I might not be so chilled! I'm going to have a
big hen do with my friends and family, but we're still having meetings
to decide what to do. The boys have booked their stags already.'
As for
how she'll look on the day, she appears to be undecided, but she admits
that George Clooney's stunning bride is one of her style inspirations.
She
said: 'I've tried on a lot [of wedding dresses]. I loved what Olivia
Palmero and Amal Alamuddin wore for their weddings. Amal looked so
elegant and timeless.'
Dressed to impress: The former
Coronation Street star admits she's been trying on a lot of wedding
dresses, and was particularly inspired by Amal Alamuddin's choice of
bridal wear
Michelle and Mark, both 27, announced their engagement in September 2013 after a whirlwind nine-month romance.
And
while their decision to take a trip down the aisle may appear quick to
some, Michelle insists the timing was perfect - mainly because she
instantly knew he was 'the one'.
'I
realised pretty early on [that Mark was the one],' she told the
magazine. 'It just felt right. We'd known each other for years through
mutual friends but as we started to date, I soon realised: "Yeah, I want
this to go further." I think I just became more and more secure.'
Reason to be jolly: The pair are preparing to spend their first Christmas together in their new Essex home
Meanwhile,
as Mark prepares to enter the final stages of Strictly Come Dancing, he
recently assured that his romance will not fall victim to the show's
notorious 'Strictly Curse', where stars become involved with their dance
partners.
'We’ve never even discussed it,' Mark, partnered with Karen Hauer, told the Daily Mirror. ‘I see why people do because of what’s happened in the past.’
‘But
if you’re in a genuinely happy, strong, beautiful relationship it just
doesn’t enter your head. It’s never been a question for us, genuinely,’
he added.
‘We’re
a happy couple who trust each other. We don’t think about, “Oh, can I
trust him?” or “Can’t I trust him?” She’s just like, “Enjoy it, babe -
she looks like a great partner”. And that’s it.’
Hot stepper: Mark is currently winning over a legion of fans as he struts his stuff on Strictly Come Dancing
