'He was crying in agony': Kym Marsh feared she'd lose her son, 19, when he was rushed to hospital with a suspected heart attack

Kym Marsh has poured her heart out for the first time about the moment she thought she was going to lose her son David.
In an emotional interview with the Sunday Mirror, the Coronation Street revealed she was 'terrified' when the 19-year-old was rushed to hospital with a suspected heart attack.
'He was crying in agony and said to me, "I'm so scared mum",' she said. 'It was heart-breaking. I haven't seen him cry since he was little. He was so frightened and so was I, but I tried to be strong for him.'

The devastating incident happened in June last year shortly after David complained to his mum about a headache and feeling exhausted.
At first, Kym, 38, thought his symptoms were indicative of a virus - but when he then told her his neck was hurting too, she took him straight to hospital near their home in Greater Manchester.
Following his admission into hospital, David's condition grew increasingly worse as he struggled to breathe.
When the ECG results and blood tests came through, they appeared to confirm the doctor’s suspicion of a heart attack, leaving Kym fearing her son was about to die.
However, after a few days passed, the soap star was told that her son did not have a heart attack but a serious condition called myopericarditis - an inflammation of the heart and surrounding sac.
'When he was diagnosed, I asked the nurse how serious it was,' Kym added. 'She said it could prove fatal. I was a wreck and couldn't believe what was happening.'
Fortunately, after lots of rest and medication, David has now made a full recovery and was even recently allowed to return to work.
However, his condition could return at any time.

Kym painfully lost her youngest son Archie just minutes after he was born back in February 2010.
The soap star and her then husband Jamie Lomas were both left devastated.
At the time, they released a joint statement reading: 'Archie is our beautiful angel and we will miss him so much. Thank you all for your support.'
Kym, who is also mother to Polly and Emilie, cannot have any more children following her decision to have an ablation of the womb after she suffered with severe health problems.
The star, who is engaged to Dan Hooper, told OK! Magazine about the procedure, she revealed: 'When they did the operation they asked me if I wanted anymore children and I said no because I was in a different place then.'
However, after meeting Dan, she regrets her decision to have the procedure as the couple want to have children together.
Kym admitted: 'Having kids for me is really traumatic; I don’t want what I went through with Archie [to happen again]. But now I’ve met Dan we’re a bit upset as we would have loved to have kids together in the future.'
