But in a playful sketch for Red Nose Day, it was revealed that Daniel Craig’s voice had to be dubbed in Casino Royale.
And none other than comedian Alan Carr was revealed to be the ‘real’ voice of Bond in the hilarious 'mockumentary'.

Kicking off the sketch, Bond producer Michael G Wilson explained: ‘Daniel was born to play Bond, apart from the thing...’
They then revealed the 'one thing about Daniel that millions of fans around the world don't know.'
Craig’s
co-star Ben Whishaw continued: ‘When he talks Daniel sounds really
distinctive. It's just not the voice you think of when you think of
Bond.’

co-star, Naomie Harris, was heard talking with a manly northern accent,
while former 007 Sir Roger Moore's clipped tones were revealed to be
like a Geordie woman.
In the end, it was revealed that camp chat show host Alan Carr was, in fact, the source of James Bond's voice in the movie.

sketch came to a close with Daniel complaining: 'If they don't let me
use my own voice in the next Bond film, I'll scream and scream and
scream until I'm sick.
‘Enjoy the film... I'm off to do some colouring in.'
While
viewers enjoyed their closer look into the real Bond, his famous Aston
Martin was seen in less than ideal circumstances on the set of the
latest Bond film, Spectre.
