the second series of her hit show Broadchurch now wrapped, Jodie
Whittaker is focussing on preparing for an even bigger role -
motherhood.
The
33-year-old actress, who plays Beth Latimer in the acclaimed show, made
an appearance on ITV's This Morning on Monday, where she insisted she

And
before falling pregnant herself, the screen star, married to American
actor Christian Contreras, was required to wear a prosthetic baby bump
as she shot scenes for the show.
'I was
given a prosthetic, which was really strange,' she said. 'It was a real
party trick, it even had a stretch marks up the centre and veins. It
kind of felt like gelatin.'
While
she's played a mother on screen, Jodie admitted that she's not yet
prepared for the swiftly approaching birth of her first child.
