Former TOWIE cast-member Cara Kilbey has suffered a miscarriage, two months after announcing her pregnancy on Twitter.
The
TV personality and her partner are said to be inconsolable following
the loss of their first child during its second trimester.
In
a statement her representative confirmed: ‘It is with great sadness
that I must inform you, that last week Cara Kilbey suffered a late
miscarriage. Cara was over five months pregnant when she lost her baby.

‘Cara
and her partner are devastated at the loss and will not be commenting
further on this deeply upsetting matter. I hope their privacy is
respected in order to give them time to grieve and seek support.
‘Cara
would like to thank Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity,
for their tremendous support. As a charity Sands is there to help and
support anyone affected by the death of a baby.
The TV personality left popular ITVBe show The Only Way Is Essex to launch her own fashion website in 2012.
Coincidence: Cara's pregnancy
announcement came shortly after close friend Billi Mucklow announced her
own pregnancy with footballer fiancée Andy Carroll on Christmas Day
Posting
to her Twitter account on Monday afternoon, she shared the quote 'What
Doesn't Kill You Makes You Stronger,' captioning it with an emoji of a
broken heart.
The
former reality star announced her pregnancy on January 4 with the
message: ‘So Happy and Excited to announce we are expecting our first
baby together July 2015.’
In an accompanying snap she stands with her eyes lowered to her stomach, upon which her hands formed the shape of a love-heart.
Five months in: Cara was into the second trimester of her pregnancy
The
announcement came shortly after close friend Billi Mucklow announced
her own pregnancy with footballer fiancée Andy Carroll on Christmas Day.
Billi
broke the news by donning a festive jumper with the words 'making my
little pudding' in an Instagram snap with West Ham United star Andy
Carroll, who posted the picture : 'Merry Christmas #OurLittlePudding.'
The footballer already has two children, a daughter Emilie Rose aged four, and a two-year-old son Lucas.
