Hollywood heartthrob Hugh Jackman showed his romantic side on Saturday.
Taking
to Instagram to profess his love for his wife Deborra-Lee Furness, the
Wolverine star wrote next to a flashback photo of the gorgeous couple:
'Happy Valentine's Day!'
Adding the hashtag 'My Debs' to the end of the caption.
'My Debs': Hugh Jackman showed off his
romantic side for Valentine's Day posting a flashback photo of himself
with wife Deborra-Lee Furness from the late '90s
The
image appears to be a photo of a photo, with 'Happy Valentines'
scrawled across it, followed by a love-heart handwritten in a gold
marker pen over part of the shot.
It
appears to be a photo of the couple from the late '90s as the pair
married in 1996 and Deb is seen flashing her gold wedding band as she
wraps her arm around Hugh's neck.
The
fresh-faced Australian actor is grinning broadly as he looks down the
camera, cuddling up to his wife in an red over-sized baseball jacket
with a blue checked shirt underneath, unzipped to his navel, exposing
his white singlet underneath.
Deb
also sports a large smile in the image and seems to be dressed in a
plum-coloured corduroy shirt with a white T-Shirt visible underneath.
Fans
of the Hollywood and Broadway star loved the retro shot, with one
follower telling the actor: 'You are more attractive because of the way
you love your wife'.
Still so in love: The Australian
celebrity couple, who live in New York, are an affectionate and loving
couple event after 19 years together
Meanwhile
as one of Australia's most successful exports, Hugh's known to
transform himself completely for roles, but that doesn't always mean his
59-year-old wife approves of it.
His latest film Chappie, sees the 46-year-old actor throw it back to the '70s with a mullet hairstyle.
The
long in the back and short at the front hairstyle was the look the
actor was sporting when he met his wife on the set of '90s TV show
Corelli.
Speaking to New.Com.au on Friday, Hugh said the haircut: 'Brought back some nice flashbacks.'
Business in the front! Hugh Jackman
had to sport a mullet for his latest film Chappie but his wife
Deborra-Lee Furness isn't a fan of the look
Love at first sight? Hugh had a
similar haircut when he and Deborra-Lee Furness first met on the set of
Corelli in the mid 1990s and he still managed to win her over
However,
it seems Deborah isn't such a huge fan him bringing it back and when
asked if she was a fan he jokingly replied: 'No, is the short answer.'
Adding:
'But she always says that being married to me is kind of fun, it’s like
having an affair every few months. I always look different so it spices
it up a bit.
The
actor recently sported a shaved head with a twirled mustache and
goatee, known as a Van Dyke beard, for his role as Blackbeard in the
movie Pan which is to be released in July this year.
In
Chappie, Hugh plays a former soldier called Vincent who is against the
government's use of robots as weapons on the police force.
When
he finds out a robot called Chappie who is reprogrammed to develop
feelings and original thoughts, he will stop at nothing to destroy the
machine.
Two chaps: Hugh at the cast photo call for Chappie on Tuesday in New York City, the film will be released next month
