It's
hardly something you'd expect to fall out of Victoria Beckham's mouth,
but the perfectly groomed fashion designer insists she's far from neat
and tidy.
'I’m naturally a very messy person,' Mrs Beckham, 40, tells The New York Times. 'David is constantly complaining at home because I’m really, really messy.'
The
willowy brunette, who is currently preparing for her eagerly
anticipated show at New York Fashion Week on Sunday, also says she
rarely ever wears heels to her Battersea, South London office, focusing
instead on 'comfort' over style.

I’m always in flats. Jeans, jumper, flat shoes or a pair of trainers
'I’m
always in flats,' Mrs Beckham responded when asked about her office
attire. 'Jeans, jumper, flat shoes or a pair of trainers.
'It
would probably surprise people, but I have to be comfortable. It’s not
about me dressing up and looking good. I’ve got to get stuff done.'
And
she certainly manages that. Since launching her namesake label in 2008
from a 'really, really tiny' room with a staff of just three, Mrs
Beckham has spilled into several large office spaces and now employs 150
people.
