Not exactly beach attire! Kim Kardashian looks on from a distance in heels and tight skirt as Kanye and North enjoy the surf in Malibu

It was the perfect day - first lunch at Nobu and then a walk on the nearby beach in sunny Malibu, California.

However, Kim Kardashian opted to keep her heels out of the sand and watch from a distance as Kanye West took their daughter North down the hill to see the surf up close.

The little girl was in kiddie heaven, amazed by the waves that crashed mere feet from where she stood.

North was clad in snowy white trainers, denim shorts and a white shirt, and her hair was done up in twin buns on top of her head.

Kanye kept a protective arm wrapped around the tot while dressed down in a black sleeveless shirt and black jeans, along with grey trainers.

Every now and then they looked up to where Kim watched them from the top of a hill.
