Just a week ago, she was the envy of countless One Direction fans as her enduring romantic bond with singing heart-throb Louis Tomlinson appeared to be unbreakable.

But on Monday, days after her split from the star was announced, Eleanor Calder cut a sad figure as she left her London home with her beloved pet dog and a male pal in tow.

Wearing black trousers and a matching top under a tan suede jacket, the brunette beauty hid her eyes behind a pair of sunglasses as she boarded a black vehicle while clutching a laptop and cigarettes.

According to The Mirror, Eleanor travelled 20,000 miles to Sydney to try and work through the couple's 'differences'. However, weeks later the young lovebirds decided to ‘call it a day’.

‘Cracks were showing for a while. It’s incredibly tough with the boys being on the road so much,’ a source said. ‘They had a month off over Christmas but since then they have been in Australia and the Far East.

‘It put a real strain on the relationship. But even after Eleanor flew out to visit Louis, they couldn’t work through their differences.’

Eleanor, 22, who dated Louis for four years after being introduced by his bandmate Harry Styles, was spotted outside her home on Sunday as she took her dog for a walk, the same day pictures of Louis engaged in a lip-lock with the mystery woman were revealed.

Dressed down in black skinny jeans and a grey sweater, Eleanor looked casual but stylish as she put on a brave face following the revelations.

The Sun reported that Louis was pictured kissing an unidentified bikini-clad woman in a pool after an all-night party in Bangkok last week.

And a representative for Louis confirmed to MailOnline that he has indeed parted ways from 22-year-old Eleanor, whom he had been in a relationship with for around four years.
