It’s never pleasant seeing your ex with someone new.
And
Binky Felstead certainly proved the point on Monday night’s episode of
Made In Chelsea, when she finally came face-to-face with her cheating ex
Alex Mytton’s new girlfriend Nicola Hughes.
Despite
putting on a brave face, the awkward encounter didn’t go well for the
show veteran, who was accused of being ‘fake’ and overly nice by her
love rival.
The claws are out! Binky Felstead
clashed with her love rat ex Alex Mytton's new girlfriend Nicola Hughes
on Monday night's episode of Made In Chelsea
Binky made it clear from the get-go that she wasn’t excited about meeting Irish model Nicola.
When
new girl Jess Woodley revealed Nicola had joked during their Barbados
trip that everyone was ‘obsessed’ with gossiping about her, Binky saw
red.
‘I’m
going to hate her already,’ she raged. ‘It’s annoying because she’s
been going round saying Alex doesn’t deserve the reputation he’s got. It
makes me feel a little bit sick!’
Big smiles all around: Nicola and
Binky kept repeating how 'lovely' it was to finally meet, but they
couldn't have seemed more disingenuous
Close encounters of the awkward kind: Binky had a stilted chat with Nicola when they arrived at the same bar
The girls finally came face-to-face during a night out with their respective cliques.
Nicola
was joined by newbie Millie and Spencer Matthew's girlfriend Lauren
Hutton – who looked delighted to finally have some female friends on the
show – and were gossiping over a few drinks when Binky and co
miraculously happened to walk into the same bar.
An awkward stalemate ensued, with both parties refusing to make the first move.
Cringe: Lauren, Millie and Nicola spotted Binky and her girlfriends arriving at the same bar
Harsh: Spencer Matthew's current
squeeze Lauren showed her true colours when she joked that Binky isn't
known for her intelligence
Nightmare situation: Binky wasn't thrilled with the prospect of meeting Nicola
Talk
quickly turned catty, with Stephanie Pratt taking a dig at Nicola’s
‘bad weave’, while Lauren cemented her newfound friendship with Nicola
by joking about Binky’s lack of intelligence.
The blonde beauty was the first to extend the olive branch, however, cornering her boyfriend’s ex at the bar.
Binky
put on an overly friendly act, enthusing how ‘lovely’ it was to meet
her and repeating, ‘everything’s fine’ – but it couldn’t have seemed
further than the truth.
