Kym Marsh denies sacking fiance Dan Hooper as her fitness instructor to 'save their relationship'... as she claims he was NEVER her personal trainer

They celebrated their first anniversary as a smitten couple last weekend, but Kym Marsh has been forced to hit out at rumours that suggested her relationship with fiance Dan Hooper was on the rocks.

The Coronation Street actress defended her romance with the handsome hunk after it was reported that she had sacked the fitness instructor in a bid to save their relationship.

Taking to Twitter on Saturday, she wrote: 'How on earth could I have 'sacked' Dan as my PT when he was never my PT in the first place!!!!'

A spokesman for Kym later elaborated and told MailOnline: 'Needless to say this story is completely untrue. Kym's personal trainer is Anthony Bingham and has been for some time.

'Kym and Dan are very happy in their relationship.'

According to the Mirror newspaper, the soap star feared arguing with Dan during fitness training would threaten their relationship in the lead up to their upcoming nuptials.

'They were bickering in the gym so she has decided to get rid of him for the sake of their relationship,' a source told the publication.

However, these claims have now been refused by the soap star, as she insists they are completely happy in their romance.  

She and Dan became engaged in December although Marsh insists they have no plans to wed in the near future.

Kym couldn't be more pleased to be with Dan as she confessed to OK! Magazine: 'I've never been happier. I feel like a weight's been lifted off my shoulders and it's all because of Dan.'

While Dan admitted it didn't take him very long to fall in love with Kym, adding: 'Kym's amazing inside and out. We laugh all the time.'

The pair first met when Dan appeared in Coronation Street but both were in relationships at the time.

However, they met again after Dan had split from Hollyoaks actress Stephanie and Kym's and Jamie Lomas' marriage was over and love quickly blossomed.
