Frank Lampard and his New York City team-mates posing in bright pink tutus wasn't the unveiling of a bizarre new kit.
Instead,
the MLS stars were taking part in charity event 'Tutu Tuesday', joining
up with Komen Greater NYC to raise awareness surrounding breast cancer.
Chelsea
legend Lampard, who joined up with New York City this summer following a
loan spell at Manchester City, looked pretty in pink alongside
team-mates Jeb Brovsky, Kwame Watson-Siriboe, Patrick Mullins, R.J Allen
and Josh Saunders.

The
MLS club shared the image of the six players in their fancy dress via
Instagram and said: 'NYCFC and Komen Greater NYC share goals: get pinked
out for #TutuTuesday powered by Tri-State Ford and eradicate
#breastcancer!'
Lampard
looks to be settling in well with his new team-mates but was unable to
save his side from defeat at New York Red Bulls on Monday
Making
his first start for the club since his debut against Montreal Impact on
August 1, the former England midfielder started alongside World Cup
winner Andrea Pirlo in midfield but goals from Bradley Wright-Phillips
and Felipe Campanholi earned the hosts a 2-0 victory.

Ahead of the Big Apple derby, fans of the Red Bulls were keen to mock New York City's ageing line-up.
On
a banner hanging from the top tier behind one of the goals, supporters
taunted Lampard and Pirlo as cartoon characters holding walking sticks,
with the words 'City Retirement Home' on the blue ribbon above their
heads.
Lampard
scored 211 goals in 648 appearances for Chelsea and won three Premier
League titles, four FA Cups and the Champions League during his 13 years
at Stamford Bridge.
